International President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Sri Ashok Singhal paid a visit to Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam ashram yesterday, to offer his pranams to His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda and to discuss various matters of mutual interest related to revitalizing authentic Hinduism and the Vedic tradition. Sri Singhal also addressed the participants of INNER AWAKENING, a 21 day, international yoga, healing and meditation retreat currently happening at the ashram. Speaking to the audience of 160 participants from 22 countries, Sri Singhal observed that the world is now lost in materialistic pursuits, and there are only a few rare beings like Paramahamsa Nithyananda who are working towards helping people realize the true purpose of their life, which is true spiritual growth and evolution.
Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) was founded on 29th August 1964. The objective of the VHP is to organise – consolidate the Hindu society and to serve – protect the Hindu Dharma. Through over 58803 service projects in the field of health, education, self- empowerment, Gram Shiksha Mandir etc. VHP is strengthening the grass root level of the Hindu society. Through the consistent efforts at eradication of social evils like untouchability, VHP is absolving the Hindu society & rejuvenating it to express it’s inherent Hindu Unity. Sri Ashok Singhal was the international working president of the Hindu organisation Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) for over 20 years till 2011.
