In another instance of making false connections, where headlines don’t match the content of the article, DNA Newspaper makes more false allegations against His Divine Holiness to generate sensational false propaganda. After the severe life-threatening attacks done to him, his ashram, to his disciples, redundant news pieces targeting his character become the way to obliterate the work he has put into reviving Sanatana Hindu Dharma in India.
DNA Newspaper produces yet another outrageous piece besmirching the name of Hindu Gurus by publishing untrue allegations against Paramahamsa Nithyananda. The title of the article talks about his bail plea, but the content of the article mentions sandalwood found on the campus. Sandalwood is an extremely valuable wood, due to it’s uses in therapy and cosmetics, and grows quite easily in southern parts of India such as Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The trees found in the Aadheenam were naturally growing in that area for decades before it was occupied by Paramahamsa Nithyananda and his disciples. Smugglers who attempted to steal the Sandalwood growing in the aadheenam left some stacks of the wood behind, which was found by officials. This was immediately blamed on Paramahamsa Nithyananda, terming him a Sandalwood smuggler, and no due process was followed before accusing him.
This kind of misrepresentation is the exact strategy used several times by cheap media houses like DNA to lure the attention of its readers and systematically destroy and reshape the character and reputation of Hindu gurus. This is what has led to the falsely implanted public’s opinion today that gurus in India are untrustworthy, that sanyas is unnatural and leads to perversion, that giving up material possessions is a farce used to exploit others.
