From being held hostage and beaten by family members to being drugged and kidnapped to being a victim of Character Assassination by the media, all because she is a proud Hindu who will not give up on what she believes in.

We Were Nearly Killed by Family Brainwashed by Anti-Hindu Missionaries
My spiritual name is Ma Nithya Pranavananda. In 2006, I met Swamiji. Attended NSP (Nithyananda Spurna Program) with my parents. My sister attended in the year 2005. In 2006, I came to the ashram (monastery) to attend a 3-month program, Ananda Yogam. I received Brahmachariya (student of Hindu monkhood) initiation and joined the ashram.
In 2007, my father was not happy that myself and my sister stayed back in the ashram. Father kept calling us back home. We were in touch over the phone. One fine day, both mother and father came to ashram and asked that we just stay for a short while at the native home and then return back to the ashram. We resisted in the beginning. Swamiji gave blessings to go be with parents. So both of us decided to follow our parents back home.
When we returned home. When the time of stay that was agreed by parents was over, we wanted to return back to the ashram. Our father started saying that we have to get married and live with them. We said we did not want to, packed our things and walked out of the house. Father grabbed our bags, threw them away and literally dragged us to a room and locked both of us from outside.
When they were trying to break open the door, my father gathered some relatives from the neighborhood; about 6 women and 6 men entered the room. They provoked us but we were very clear and persistent, wanting to live with Swamiji in the ashram. We said this out loud. All the men there started hitting us, slapping many times. I hit my head so hard on the wall; it immediately swelled. Then they just continued to slap (all the men) till she (sister) became unconscious. The women there were not encouraging the men to hit us. I saw my mother just crying.
They sprinkled water and brought my sister to consciousness. We were persistent and said the same thing: we wanted to live in the ashram around Swamiji. Then the group left us and locked us up again in the room. We were left with no water and food for more than 48 hours.
Then my cousin, who is a nurse, gave us an injection to make us to be unconscious so we can be kidnapped. At the beginning, we were not aware of this plan. We were so weak that we could not resist or fight back when they gave an injection.
I vaguely remember we were lifted and put in the car; we could not fight or speak because of the medicine that was injected on us. My sister and I both received 2 injections. Then we were in a church. Now we understood: this was a plan of Anti-Hindu missionaries who converted by father away from Hinduism.

Character Assassination by Nakkeeran Magazine
During April 2010, the CID (Crime Investigation Department) Police of Ramanagaram District arrested His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda, falsely claiming that He committed certain sexual offenses. In this background, the press, as well as the media, have depicted all the female disciples of Bengaluru Aadheenam (monastery) as prostitutes.
Amongst them, is Chitreswari alias Ma Nithya Pranavananda who suffered a relentless Character Assassination, just because she was a female disciple of Paramahamsa Nithyananda. She decided to stand by her guru, stand by the truth during the religious persecution on Him. She filed a complaint against a Tamil bi-weekly magazine for degrading her dignity on a public forum.
Tamil Magazine Nakkeeran, belittling the dignity of a woman, thoughtless about human rights, published baseless articles in their magazine, insinuating that Ma Nithya Pranavananda had fallen prey to an alleged sexual assault by His Divine Holiness. The cover title of the magazine read as Merriment in Holy Kumbh Mela-The secret behind Nithyananda mesmerizing young women. It was published as if Lenin, the Chief conspirator and child rapist who was behind the morphed video of Paramahamsa Nithyananda, had given this testament. The magazine is published in the state of Tamil Nadu and has a wide circulation and also published online.
It is undeniable that the publication is grossly indecent and the scandalous publication has ruined her image in the society she had sworn to serve.
Lenin has been mentioned as the informant for a series of porno style articles that were published about aadheenavasi residents and Paramahamsa Nithyananda in the Nakkheeran Tamil yellow magazine. Following is a case pertaining to that:
