On the the occasion of Guru Poornima 2009, administration in the Bengaluru Adheenam recieved information that Lenin Karuppan, then going by Dharmananda, molested a girl. The girl had told her parents and they informed people in the aadheenam (temple-monastary complex) that this atrocious act was committed by Dharmananda.
Lenin profusely apologised to administration with the letter below, trying to correct his ways.

My salutations. I ask for my heartfelt pardon for my lack
of attentiveness. From today I will correct my faults and watch out for it in
detail in every part. I don’t understand two things which Swami said. Please tell
in such a manner that I understand. You said that I am unreliable, I don’t
understand what it means and how I should behave. You said I am a politician. I
don’t understand what was meant by it. As far I know I did not misuse. Please
make me understand my faults. I thought of it the whole of yesterday but could
not understand. Please forgive me for coming to the class yesterday. Please
make me understand where the fault is, I am responsible for all my lack of
attentiveness, I will do whatever Swami says.
What should I do to transform myself and become a reliable person for Swami,
please show me the way.
