Audio Clip Exposing Embezzling of Malaysian Ringgit 100k
It was on a fateful day in May 2014, when the call recording of the conversation between Loganathan and Kavitha was publicly released. It was the call that happened in 2013 where Kavitha was in Bengaluru Aadheenam and Loganathan in Malaysia and they spoke about RM 100,000 (Ringgit Malaysia One Hundred Thousand Only) equivalent to USD 33,000 given by a Malaysian devotee for the sole purpose of building a Kalabhairava temple in Malaysia that they swindled and pumped into Nithya Maju Sdn. Bhd. – their own private entity – and established two shops – Chicken Rice Shop and Claypot Sizzling Hawker Shop.
The audio clip of a phone conversation was found on the official phone of the organization. Loganathan confesses to and expresses guilt over swindling the money donated by a devotee named Lee. He goes on further telling that he is doing whatever he can (including pet business and catering business) to collect the money. And Kavitha admits in the audio that she is also a part of the swindling. Below is the audio conversation of Loganathan with Kavitha admitting to cheating RM 100,000 without the knowledge of His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda, as per their conversation.

| Loganathan: | Tell, tell … Why do you think I want to stay here, you tell me, to earn money, we have used Lee’s money, I have been collecting little by little… you don’t know all this, I have been collecting. I have opened another account and collecting all these. If I tell you all these, you won’t believe me, you don’t have desire also to listen to all these, so I don’t tell you all these, don’t want you to have tension with all these. Why do you think I want to do all the catering offers I have been getting? Once if I do the catering, around RM 3000 or RM 5000 profit, I am getting. I have been taking and collecting all those. Lee has started asking question about the money, the temple. He came that day, that day Chen spoke to you on the phone, you remember? |

| Loganathan: | That day, when I was explaining to him about the temple, he asked me that you were saying in InnerAwakening (IA) that you want to open temple in Kelana Jaya, what happened with that? I told him “No, because of Deepavali and these and that, all the people didn’t give the money so I have kept the plan in pending, only next year, organizing food fair as fund raising activity, I want to do it. Later, don’t know what he did, don’t know what he thought, he called me when he had gone back to hotel, he called me and said “Ayya, you remember the hundred thousand I gave you, maybe you tell Swamiji (Paramahamsa Nithyananda), you know, ask His permission to use the money, you open the temple la, I have no problem. Never mind you can run this, you…you open the shop lot then you can use the money, no need to waste.” Yesterday again he called me, do you know that? I got scared. Yesterday again he called me and checked ‘What happen to the temple? What Swamiji said about the money? Why don’t you use the money.’ I got scared. Where would I suddenly go for hundred thousand? That is why I have been earning money. The cat food also is going on well now. All these businesses are going on well. Okay, I should quickly earn the money and settle it. Now, if tomorrow, something is found out, tell, if the sangha knows about these and when they question, will you tell that “I was not there, nirantara used all of it?” Tell da. |

| Loganathan: | Ma, not that I didn’t find the solution, I … solution … you know very well, I can do anything, anyhow I want, if I ask Swami, Swami won’t say no to me I know that very well, but I am scared of one thing, deep scared of one thing from you, I have one big scare from you, if you abandon me, if you say no to me. |
When the admin found out about the scam by these 2 culprits, immediately a meeting with the Malaysian aadheenavasis was called for. The two evaded the meeting. But the rest of the Malaysian aadheenavasis got to know the truth and they were shocked. And it was very painful for the aadheenavasis to be able to convey this to the donor, Lee. Being a transparent sangha, living the truth of integrity; that was the right thing to do.
The donor, Lee felt cheated, manipulated and devastated. He had worked hard to earn the money and has donated it out of his gratitude to Paramahamsa Nithyananda with sheer trust in him. It pained him more than the money was never used for what it was intended for but instead utilised for the personal gains of two frauds. He lodged a police complaint on both the cons.
Due to the requisite diligence needed to be done with such an important element as financial chastity, trust and devotion of devotees, the administration of Malaysia started to investigate into the depth of the matter, as neither Loganathan nor Kavitha came forward to admit to their wrongdoings with integrity and authenticity(two of the foremost principles of functioning of the Nithyananda sangha).
First, we found Loganathan and Kavitha’s spiritual diaries(a spiritual practice done by all devotees of Swamiji for spiritual growth purpose). Both of them has penned down that they feel very insecure and powerless when it comes to money issues. Especially, Kavitha has written down that she will not resist cheating sangha’s money.
Below are listed some of the major findings:
1. Note by Kavitha in her personal diary indicating
“I don’t like cheat sangha’s money. With I, A, R [integrity, authenticity, responsibility] I drop resisting to cheat sangha. I am I drop resisting to cheat sangha.”
2. Loganathan’s personal diary also indicated his insecurity in money matters and family issues.
