Brutal Assault on Sanyasi and Destruction of Temple and other property in Uttarahalli
Physical assault, criminal intimidation and death threat to Sanyasi (Hindu monk) of the Nithyananda Order, Sri Nithya Bhaktimayananda Swami who was the caretaker of the temple in Uttarahalli when 60 (sixty) thugs physically assaulted and threatened to kill him, ransacking the property, breaking the compound and gate, ashram board, cowshed and other items in the premise not bothering about the sacred space of a Sanyasi or an ashram. They had initially attempted to find His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda. When they could not, they attacked Sri Nithya Bhaktimayananda. He was hospitalised after the attack. A police complaint has been lodged by him for the attack.
