A strong legal notice was issued by Nithyananda Gurukul and the parents of the students for a highly defamatory program telecast by the television news channel Times Now. This attack is not only on Nithyananda Gurukul as an educational institution but also against the 10000 year old Vedic tradition whose backbone is the Gurukul system of enlightenment-based education, and thus on Hinduism at large.

Every possible lie was told in this TV program to defame most ancient education system. Whether it misrepresentation of the background of the students, or making mockery of the traditional dress they wear, every possible attempt was made to abuse ‘Nithyananda Gurukul’ and target Guru-Disciple relationship. The program casted aspersions, false and baseless allegations on the operations of the Gurukul and its spiritual founder His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda.
Before this too several times various TV channels like Samaya Tv and Suvarna TV have broadcasted derogatory shows on Nithyananda Gurukuls. Several legal notices were sent by Nithyananda Peetam time and again to these channels. This was atrocity material generation tactics from Mainstream Hindu Extremist militant groups.
Here is what one of the Parent and Adheenawasi, Rishi Advait shares about his experiences with defamatory TV shows which is clearly aimed at attacking Hinduism and Vedic culture.

Nithyanandam! This is Rishi Advait and one of the key aspects of the religious persecution that happened against our Swamiji, Paramahamsa Nithyananda, and against Hinduism was carried out by one section of media which is anti-Hindu and this Anti-Hindu media would always look for opportunities to falsely represent, baseless allegations, absolutely having no understanding of what the whole gurukul education is all about or what is Hinduism all about, and all they did was just come and shout something, and say something, and display something completely illogical, irrelevant, baseless but making the viewers believe that something was wrong.
And one of the things was there were a lot of shows on the television wherein the anchors would call in specific so-called experts and then ask them questions and they would say some things and everything we found was completely anti-Hindu. It was a very well planned religious persecution that happened. Because there was one time when even I myself was called for a live show on the television and the kind of the questions that were asked and absolutely the way the whole program was taken it was clear that that particular media, one section of media had already decided to somehow create a bad name for the gurukul, bad name for Nithyananda Gurukul and the entire wonderful tradition of Hinduism and just so that the anti-Hindu forces could win. But luckily, we had Swamiji who gave us the right direction in terms of understanding how to deal with such situations and we were able to sail through all that.
