On Guru Poornima day as the entire sangha celebrated the occasion, Hindu extremists group attacked the main gate of the Bengaluru Aadheenam, wanting to enter inside. On this day, the gates of the Bengaluru Aadheenam were open to public, allowing anyone who wanted to come and receive the blessings of His Divine Holiness.
However at around noon, these Hindu terrorist groups gathered in front of the aadheenam. As soon as the Aadheenam security was informed of this threat. the gates were closed to the public. Subsequently, knowing they could go further the mobs were enraged. They set fire to posters of Swamiji, flyers and boards and finally made an effigy that they burned completely in order to threaten the life of His Divine Holiness.
