Police officers were brutal and atrocious to the volunteers of Nithyananda Peetham in Bengaluru Aadheenam, violating basic human rights and the right to information. The real aim of the police, as was evident in their threats to the security of people, was to threaten and end the life of His Divine Holiness.
Sri Rishi Nithya Dayananda, an international volunteer from Malaysia, who has been volunteering in the ashram (monastery) in the security department, was cruelly attacked by disguised assassins who were among very few CID officials. The whole group was actually a mob looking to lynch Paramahamsa Nithyananda. In a gross violation of the human rights law, CID officials visited the aadheenam claiming that they were gathering information but they did not have the correct authorization to search the property.
Sensing something wrong with the behavior of the officials, Sri Rishi Nithya Dayananda started recording the activities of the officials trying to enter the campus with his phone. Immediately, one officer noticed this, grabbed Sri Rishi Nithya Dayananda’s phone and threw it to the ground. He then caught Sri Rishi Nithya Dayananda’s hand and started twisting it, badly damaging it. Sri Rishi Nithya Dayananda suffered a wrist injury. Doctors gave him a sling which he needed to wear for the next 3 weeks.

As if this wasn’t unlawful enough, that same night, a group of police officers barged into the Ashram and arrested four monastery residents illegally without an FIR (first information report), let alone an arrest warrant.
What was the crime of the Ashram residents? When there was no formal or informal complaint against the Ashram residents, why did the illegal arrest happen? What was the purpose of the arrest?
The one they came for was His Divine Holiness, but upon not getting their hands on Him, they assaulted His volunteers and property to bring damage that way to Him and His mission.
Traumatising Experience for Ma Rishi Nithya Dayananda the wife of Sri Rishi Nithya Dayananda
Ma Rishi Nithya Dayananda, the wife of Sri Rishi Nithya Dayananda, expressed her horror at seeing her husband treated so inhumanely. She was completely helpless in front of the atrocities of a few people claiming to be the legal representatives in a foreign country. She could not imagine why something brutal this like this was being done to her husband. Her purpose of coming to India, to the Aadheenam to live a spiritual life, was on the verge of being shattered as they faced this.

Actually, her husband is only arrested. They both are from Malaysia. Malaysian citizen. They came here to serve this country. Both of them are taking care of the project they are planning.
Nithyananda, I am from Malaysia. I am an engineer by profession. We came to Swamiji one and a half years ago. We were living very peacefully in these country, in this ashram. This is the first time such an incident happened. If you have noticed in the video we were recording the whole thing and the way everything happen was completely unacceptable. I cant even explain how bad it was.
In the evening, they came with a battalion of police and a huge smile on their face and it was so annoying and said that `I am arresting you’. When we asked `You were there in the afternoon, you saw the whole thing. How can you do this, sir? He said,`Prove your innocent in the court.” We asked,`But you were the witness for the whole thing.’ Police replied`I can’t do anything. If you want to prove anything, bring your witness and prove it.’ That all.
I am so worried and afraid that you don’t have any protection in this country. I am an Indian Origin. We are living here past one and the half year that means a foreign citizen doesn’t have any right in this country. How can a person just be arrested just like that? I lived and travelled to many countries before. I have never seen such an injustice and they just have manhandled my husband for no reason. Anyone can record anything here. How can they manhandle him? He had to take rest for three weeks for no reason and a police is someone who suppose to protect justice and they are complete injustices. You can see in the video, both of them did not even say`What’’and they have been arrested for it. What kind of justice are we staying here? I am completely very unhappy and very very upset.
When Ashram residents went to the local police station that night, once again they were mishandled for questioning how the police could behave this way with them in their own campus.

CLARIFICATIONS MADE TO ALL THE PRESS REGARDING THE ILLEGAL ARREST & ABUSE OF RESIDENTS OF ASHRAM – PRESS MEET & HUNGER FAST
On September 14, 2014 the PR of Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam sent a Press release to all the Press clarifying about the false and blatant lies being spread by the media regarding the medical test results of His Divine Holiness. Yet, the Press never reported or published this clarification anywhere in their media.

The next day, on February 25, 2011, His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda, held a press meet addressing the attacks of CID against residents of the monastery and the property. In spite of being transparent and co-operative with the police; the atrocities and attacks against the residents and Ashram (temple monastery) continued, unabated.

PRESS MEET WITH PARAMAHAMSA NITHYANANDA
I welcome all devotees who are with us here today to express their solidarity. You will see people sitting doing a non-violent protest – fasting and praying to stop the religious persecution and atrocities on our organisation.
One more malicious atrocity by the CID against me and my Ashramites. The highly vindictive plan by the CID using the local police also.
I want to report to all of you the illegal arrest of my innocent Ashramites yesterday – one from Malaysia, one from Karnataka, another one from USA to serve this country. Now they are in judicial custody in Ramanagaram. This time we have the video recording evidence for the whole thing.
Few days before, one Mr. Ramalingappa of the CID started abusing me to my lawyers – 6 of our lawyers and devotees he has abused me saying all kind of abusive things – to my devotees he has said you are being cheated. To the lawyers, he said abusive words. First thing I want to know when did the CID start a political campaign against me?
When one of our administrative head went to the COD office to reply to some official communication they sent he said – I will come to your ashram, show the police power – Ramalingappa, COD said this to Atmaprabha.
Continuously last few days whoever he meets he has been sending threatening messages and try to put us in fear. 3 days before we received an anonymous call in our welcome center that COD is planning to plant Marijuana and book a case against you. Our lawyers C.V.Nagesh, Dhananjay adviced anybody comes for anything, just ask them to give the purpose of their visit in writing to us. Nothing else. And whatever they come do, video record and completely co-operate. This is the context – background. Suddenly around 3:30 pm Ramalingappa, DSP – COD came to the ashram in the pretext of meeting Ma Sadananda who is not in the ashram right now. They came before also for her and we told she is undergoing medical treatment in Chennai. Yogappa said they will be sending a lady police to Chennai and get a statement from her.
Since our lawyers told us, we requested them to give it in writing. We just asked. Nothing else. People in our Welcome center just asked. They said they wanted to go and raid the place in Anandapuri where I am staying. We just said please give it in writing and we will co-operate. They did not give and said – We are police. We can do anything we want. They manhandled our one of our ashramites.
Even now I am telling I am inviting CID to come and do whatever they want to me or my ashramites or raid anything – all I request is do it legally. Do things legally. I want all of you to know after this false scandals and rumors started spreading.
TN police filing a false FIR – unique FIR in whole India filed without victim 376. TN police started this whole game. Actually, 2 retired DGPs met me and I showed this video to them. They said even if this video is true, you cannot file a rape charge they said.
Karnataka police picking up that case, Karnataka CID, revenue dept, Forest Dept, FEMA dept, IT dept, Food & essential commodities, External Affairs.
All the depts. Backed out except CID. All of them saw there is no evidence. They backed out. Only CID know no crime has happened and maligning my name. Spreading rumors to media. I don’t know why they are doing this to us? I am surprised why they are bent on destroying us continuously keeping us in fear mode and harassing us. I think neither we have the political power to make them fearless nor we have money power to make them favour us. We only have spiritual power. I am really shocked when Ramalingaiah was saying to my Admin head – we will show you police power. I want to tell all of you that we will show our spiritual power. He should know the Indian history. The police and army’s power could not stand in front of Gandhi’s spiritual power.
The place called Anandapuri where I and other ashramites are living, they wanted to search that place. We just requested them to write. They did not do that. They are threatening us you don’t know what all cases we can file. I am really surprised Is India ruled by the constitution of some perverted officials. In every step the way in which they behave. We lodged a complaint to IG, Bidadi Ramanagara Dist and Chief Judiciary magistrate, DG.
At 5:30 pm, police barged into our campus and demanded that the manhandled ashramite be produced and said that the sanyasini absconded because of them. Actually, in a car, my mother was sitting and she is also a Sanyasini. I don’t know why they are doing like Hitler’s army who continuously defame. Actually the Sanyasini they are looking for is not in ashram for many days.
When the Ashramites asked if an FIR is available. They said that can be seen later….Refusing the Ashramite for his basic right of a lawyer, they …
The Ashramite who was translating was also arrested! My senior swami who went to enquire to the police station about this, they arrested him also!! Without even a chance of legal aid, they arrested ashramites forcibly took them to local medical treatment and produced them in the magistrate’s court. Today they purposely handcuffed them just to abuse us and spread fear psychosis in us. If this much of attention the CID and police pays, Karnataka will be crime free. I don’t know every step why they harass us. As I said we neither have political power nor money power. We only have spiritual powers.
They spent yesterday in judiciary custody without any crime. After this arrest, ashramites have decided to fast indefinitely. Anyhow, I am not able to protect them, so when they want to take some measures I cannot stop. So they went yesterday and sat in front of the Bidadi police station….
Today sub-inspector of Bidadi police station refused to register the complaint of the ashramites against the COD. Now even if you throw on me. even if some ashramites go to give complaint with video, they will do nothing about it. We are orphans living in fear. Anybody can do anything, destroy and exploit us no action will be taken. Same way if you go and tell that Swamiji put knife on me at this moment of time, they will not even file attempt to murder. They will just directly file murder charge on me! and within 6 months they will find some dead body to justify it!
Yesterday they again gave false information to the media. To TV9 they gave false info.
Dc today morning reported – nithyananda devotees took away Ma Sadananda in a car to an undisclosed location. This is a lie. Right now we can tell you where she is taking treatment in Chennai. They are just using all possible illegal methods. Even now I am telling – please come any time you want, do anything you want, anything. Please do it legally. We are living in fear constantly because of the abuse happening by these depts. We don’t know if we are citizens of this country. Why are you barging here illegally and harassing us continuously? It is too much. I don’t know what is the solution for this. so the only way our devotees and disciples have decided is till Karntaka CM intervenes in this persecution, ….
Our devotees and disciples have decided to go on indefinite fast. May be some devotees and disciples are also joining from around the world. continuously if you are harassing us and putting false cases, where is the time to handle? Where is the time to do our social services? So we have decided to fast. In next 48 hours we have decided to look for a spot where our Karnataka devotees will gather and start the fast. And all over world our devotees will gather in our temples and they will be sending letters through their Indian embassy.
I humbly request honorable CM of Karnataka to look into this matter immediately and stop this continuous harassment completely illegal and the police atrocity on us. I think the CID is very clear they cannot do anything legally …
Ramalingappa himself said – you will escape from court I know and he is telling us God will punish us!
——- they know this case is all about public opinion….we have no other way except to show our spiritual power by indefinite fasting. These are some of the documents that will be given to you all. All the documents related to yesterday’s thing. we sent a letter to the honorable CM, Home minister and human rights commission. We sent this letter to all of them. They are all sending the blood signed letters also we are submitting them to the CM of Karnataka, Governor of Karnataka, PM and president of India. ..
Why are they not arresting the conspirators who are blackmailing us? I am challenging CID let them answer this question. In their own charge sheet all the people’s names are listed. Lenin and his co conspirators – the real criminals. Why are thy not arresting them. Why are they arresting us?
