Times of India twists the facts to make the conspirators’ blackmailing attempts against Paramahamsa Nithyananda, an attempt of bribery by him. Without verifying any facts or waiting for any evidence to come out, TOI continuously runs a smear campaign against Him.

On multiple occasions, Lenin Karuppan, the main conspirator in the case against His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda, tried to blackmail Him with the release of the morphed video. Numerous witnesses have made statements against him and his extortion attempts. However, the media only tells the distorted version that Lenin concocted without regard for the public hatred they are disseminating against Him. Of course, it is with intention they spread such fallacious stories about Him in order to discredit His name. This scandal-mongering is not just an attack against Paramahamsa Nithyananda but a conspiracy against all Hindu Gurus. When people read a negative story about a Guru, they are inclined to make faulty generalisations, assuming all Gurus are deceitful and their devotees are sheep. This kind of bias allows religious discrimination.
