Thovalai , in Tamil Nadu is a smaller satsang center nestled in Kanyakumari district, famous for growing jasmine flowers. In the aftermath of the screening of the morphed video by Sun TV continuously – as if there was no other news to telecast – Sun TV was successful in creating an atmosphere of fear, anxiety, hate and violence amongst the public. Even they were not spared.
Paranoia – Mob lynching
In the aftermath of 2nd Mar 2010, a heinous conspiracy to destroy His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda and His worldwide Hindu organisation, Hindu extremist militant groups, who are out to destroy the Hindu Guru, employed ‘mob lynching’ to assassinate His Divine Holiness at the ThovalaiAadheenam, a branch Aadheenam, in Tamil Nadu. Mob lynching is a systematic strategy of mob attack where the police or media or politicians merely stand by and watch while the incited mob attacks and even assassinates the targeted persons.
The conspirator group launched a fake video featuring fake images Paramahamsa Nithyananda linked to that of a South Indian actress and rendered the video viral. Within no time hostile and infuriated mobs spewing hatred towards His Divine Holiness, started physically attacking the various aadheenams (monastic dwellings) all over Tamil Nadu. Chaos and confusion was created such that no know understands what is actually happening. Using the clever technique of mob lynching, which provides perfect cover up for the incited mob to attack and even assassinate targeted persons while there is no involvement or interference from the police or media who standby as onlookers.
.
On March 3rd around 10:30pm a gathering of 15-20 Hindu extremist terrorist groups barged into the aadheenam with hate and anger written all over their faces. They demanded to know the whereabouts of His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda as they decided it was their prerogative to take Him to task. They came uninvited into private property wielding sticks and rods in their hands. The aadheenivasis living at the center were not used to such malicious behavior and felt intimidated and fearful of them. They had a clear objective in mind – they were going to hunt down His Divine Holiness and settle accounts with Him on their own, without a trial. On finding out that He was not physically present there, they started lashing out to destroy the property and even set up a fire bomb damaging and destroying beyond repair many valuable items of the temple. They vandalized the temple, beat up the aadheenivasi threatening to be back when His Divine Holiness returns. So many people gathered around watching cynically as the aadheenam was getting destroyed but no one stepped forward to help. Attacking together as a mob they were effective in unleashing fear in the public who just stood and watched them destroy and assault. Such mob lynching practices have become rampant nowadays.
Having a free hand in inflicting terror and going unchecked with no governing body to put a check to their illegal activities they begin to operate with such hate mob mentality. No logic or reason comes in the picture. The hatred created with in is so deep that in the spur of the moment unaware and oblivious to any logic they go all out on a destructive rampage, destroying anything in front of them.
Even though, India earned its freedom seventy one years ago – Hindus who were once a majority of this land are soon to become a minority. Living in constant fear of threat to life and their properties seems to have become the lifestyle of Hindu Saints.
Violent attacks against His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda and his disciples was planned by the extremist Hindu militant groups who were working to eliminate Hindu Gurus, especially those heading the Hindu minority sub sects. These extremist groups have worked for several years to consistently eliminate the Guru-Sishya Sampradaya (Master-disciple) that exists in Sanatana Hindu Dharma.
His Divine Holiness and His followers were all subjected to gross violation of basic human rights.
Article 1 – free and equal human rights, Article 3 – right to life, liberty and security , Article 11 – right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty and Article 18 – right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) were ALL violated. The devotees and His Divine Holiness underwent extreme trauma and suffering.
Even though a police complaint was filed against the miscreants – no action has been taken by them till date.
